There are so many things to do in Denton, Texas. For instance, almost every month there is some event planned at the square. The square is in reference to the beautiful courthouse, located smack dab in the middle of town.
If you haven’t already, attend either a Jazz Festival, Denton Community Market, or the Story Telling Festival. Most definitely attend a University of North Texas football game at Apogee Stadium. Did you know that Apogee Stadium was designed by the architecture firm HKS, which also created the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium? Wow. Impressive. Go Mean Green!

Many students (37, 973 to be exact) decide to attend the university for various reasons like location, the choice of majors, and the affordability. There are many notable alumni from UNT which include: Norah Jones, Don Henley, Phil McGraw, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Meatloaf, and Joe Green.
By the way, we have to admit we have some bias beliefs about Denton. One of our owners lived there and attended the University of North Texas, earning her Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from the college. Therefore, Denton has a special place in Hawk Movers’ hearts.
